No ... but I thought most companies don't pay anything especially for a non-managerial position. So I spent so much money for an opportunity. I didn't ask them for anything thinking that I'm not a manager and it is an entry-mid career position. Hopefully it will payoff though. I still don't know the final result.

These days I think it's acceptable to see if you can do a Skype/phone interview in that case. I've done that in the past when it's just too much of a trip for an hour interview (at best), and usually most places have been okay with setting that up or doing a phone interview.

I wouldn't go unless they pay for everything. If i was desperate, they would have to at least pay for flight, i could manage to hand a day of car rental and an airbnb.
