I plan to quit my job at Macy's this Friday. Had a wonderful time getting to know co-workers and customers. I'm quitting because I had moved 2 years ago and the drive is now 2 1/2 hours. 3 hours if traffic is really backed up. It's causing a lot of stress on me. So I finally decided to quit.
My question is, I have an interview with my local Diocese. I noticed last Friday, late in the day, my status changed from submitted to Interview. The job opening was from March 20th to end date last Friday. I applied last Thursday.
I'm wondering if I will get a call possibly end of this week? I have no idea how many people they plan to interview.
The job I had applied for was an Administrative Assistant. You need at least 2 to 5 years. I have 6 1/2. Wondering if they are waiting to interview me last since I have more experience being an AA.
Is it possible that they put in a pile all the people to interview, then narrow it down to a few people?
It's really hard to tell how it works. Do you mean your status says "interview," but you have yet to be called for an interview? Good luck!! I hope you are able to land this job! 2 1/2 hours way way too far to commute on a daily basis.
