I don't know why, but I find the whole subject of "what ever happened to," with regards to the holy artifacts of earlier generations, to be a fascinating subject. Great Aish article discussing:
The one artifact I'm most fascinated with is the mask that Moshe Rabbeinu wore in the desert - the one that protected the Jewish people from the radiance his face projected after "seeing" hashem. I wonder if Moshe was buried in it, or did Aaron take it as a memoir, etc.
The other artifact that fascinates me is the opaque "body suit" that Adam haRishon wore, that was passed thru the generations to Avram, Yitzchock and if I remember correctly, it went to Esauv, not Yaakov.
How far back do the relics that actually have been scientifically confirmed go? 1800 bce?
Good question. I'm not really sure. But I doubt that far. I've been hearing of artifacts found from the time of the first Beis Hamigdosh. Not sure before that.
