Off topic, but I am curious...why do you type G-d instead of God ????
Since all of my bible translations call God 'He' and since He is called 'Father', espacially by His only begotten Son, I refuse to think of Him otherwise.
Hmmm, Sg--die, I presume you do not care to answer the question I asked you, and now Al--a is doing it too !!!!
But I did answer you. G-d cannot be contained within the dimensions of the word as fully spelled out. There is not a single word capable of containing the meaning nor one that should be used for another purpose.
In antiquity it was also probably a way to differentiate between the god(s) of the pagans who were represented in solid form, ie, statues and the like, and the all dimensional G-d of the Jews.
Even then, If they feel its not respectful to say God and would prefer to say G-d then thats something they have full rights to do.
I agree with this. And I also think if christians want to be respected for their beliefs, they should show a little respect for others particular beliefs..Nit picking each other is why non christians, and unbelievers can not take us very seriously..

If Christians removed everything from their posts that might offend someone, their page would be blank !!!!!
Oh, Okay. Too bad I wasn't told this sooner, I wouldn't have even posted here, because I find the full spelling of of that 3 letter word in all of the Old and New testaments !
I will avoid offending the jews on this forum, and hope they reciprocate.
