Hi. I am relocated to Lawrence for a job. I think I will stay in Lawrence for 2-3 years. I am considering buying, since land is relatively cheap there. I like the idea of townhouse because it's more maintanence free, but I am worry that single family would be far better for resale... thoughts?

You do not say if you have a family or are going to school. It might make a difference where you want to locate. Also how much time will you have for household chores? Townhouses usually have most yard work done. You might want to rent. Whatever you do decide I am sure you will like living in Lawrence.

If I were young and single I would go for the townhouse. However if you have a green thumb you might like something in North Lawrence. Lawrence has a very fluid population. Whichever you chose I am sure that you will like living in Lawrence.
