I'm not scared, i'm trying to tell people what is going on, but don't want to believe it. People can do what they want with the "proof", it was just for the people that didn't believe topeka was a dangerous city.

Topeka is no more dangerous than any other "city". You just stay away from the bad areas. I live in Manhattan where we get Topeka news broadcasts. Most of the time (seems in the 90 percentile) the street name of the address of a shooting begins with "east". My sons live in KC...one is a cop for KCMO..they both live there. You learn what areas to avoid. There have been gunshots fired in Manhattan. I guess it's all in what you want to bring attention to...

Yes topeka is way more dangerous then basically all of the cities in kansas, besides wichita and k.c.
But yea there are alotta shootings on the eastside, but more in central topeka. And shots fired in manhattan happens once in a blue moon, and sometimes its people from topeka doing the shooting.

In 1993, Topeka recorded 24 homicides. The next year in 1994, Topeka broke that record with 28. From 1996 until now there has been atleast 10 or more homicides every year. Besides KCK and Wichita, what other city in Kansas do you know has more murders than us. Topeka is grimy.

What do you think?? Read it. And then after you read it quit trying to downplay what goes on because the violence is just gonna keep on coming.

It is a bummer that there are are homocides, however, I have a friend who is an officer in KCMO and he says they have a homocide in KC, MO about 1 every 3 days. Do I think KC is some terribly dangerous place? No. Do I go to certain neighborhoods at 3 in the morning trying to make drug deals? No again. If you stay out of a violent lifestyle, more often than not you don't have to worry about it.

Default @Pioneer88

I mean you probably don't think kansas city is a terribly dangerous city, because you don't live in the inner-city. Kansas city has made the top 10 dangerous list and has over 100 murders every year. So if thats not dangerous, then I don't know what is.
