hello i am planning on visiting the Ashland area in June 2008 and i am from Western Indiana and i am planning on taking the AA Highway but i am hearing that this is a dangerous highway to travel so if anyone could disprove these rumors or suggest a alternate route to Ashland from Indianapolis,IN could someone tell me if I-75 to I-64 is a good alternate it is a little out of the way but i cant find any alternates for the AA Highway and input is greatly appreciated!

AA isn't
that dangerous, just use ordinary caution. A lot of the wrecks happen when people pull out from side roads into an oncoming car driving 65 mph. (The speed limit is only 55). Traffic on AA is also very light.
