When I was a boy scout, we used to camp out there. There were Sunday services held on the side of a hill with the turn in the river in the background. It was unbelievably gorgeous.
In fact, that's where I'd like to have my ashes scattered. (After I'm dead, preferably.)

Those are great pics missy. Right now Muldraugh is booming as I'm sure you've seen - new chili hotdog restaurant and Dodge's fried chicken tackling major renovations. Dodge's sells the cheapest diesel fuel around, some folks suspect they add recycled deep fry oil to it. Interesting history to the town, was told it used to be officer's quarters of Ft.Knox. And has small park of its own bordering the military rez, genuine small town feel with kids riding bicycles down main street.
Y'all can access Otter Creek upstream on Rt.60 at Carlson military rec area too, with fishing license. Also at Garnett Cemetary for upstream source waters, small dam/waterfall and old stone mill. Downstream from Otter Creek Park is decent hike to Ohio River. At one point the trail splits and ye can take the ridge or stick with the creek. Tons of wildlife, May/June is toad hatching season depending on weather - ye see millions of tiny toads hoppin around. I stumbled upon snake's nest there that nearly made me jump outa my boots - its was whole mess of baby snakes piled like spaghetti.
And one of the coolest things i seen at Otter Creek Park was antique tractor show. Further down the road there's halloween corn maze too, where adults get to scare kids with chainsaws and hatchet killer costumes after dark. Mead County is very high spirited with lotsa charm. Amazing county fair with hillclimbs, tractor pulls etc. And old time barn dances, traditional stuff.
