What kind of support do people have for the Ohio universities such as Cincinnati and Ohio State up in NKY?

This kinda has something to do with your post, but alot of it doesn't.

When you sign up for Dish Network (not sure about Directv), they assign you a "local" sports channel. Guess what they assign the people in the Jackson Purchase region? Fox Sports Cincinnati. Now you find me more than a handful of people in the JP who give a s--- about Ohio sports.

To answer your question, I am guessing that Cincy has a good sized following in the NKY area, but that is just a guess. They have to follow someone considering Louisville isn't capable of having any pro-sports teams, apparently.

Thats intresting Kentuckydad. But in NKU, I went and ate at the Levee while Ohio State was playing Mich. The waiters were all wearing OHST jerseys. Suprise though, I have never, though have yet to really talk to a lot of people in NKY, saw any kind of suport for the Bearcats or Xavier. Ohio State, yes.

I live in NKY and I can tell you that most people here are fans of the University of Kentucky. I think UK is so popular here due to the fact that many Northern Kentuckians graduated from there. There are also a lot of Northern Kentucky University fans here as well, obviously. Many Northern Kentuckians also support the Reds and Bengals given our proximity to Cincinnati. However, I rarely hear of Ohio State here which I really appreciate!
