...wasn't built to code. At least according to the demo crew on the TLC show The Imploders. Anyone who watched, I am surprised the building didn't collapse on it's own or burn down from being extremely flammable. It makes me wonder how many high rises in Murray and Paducah are not built to code and will collapse WHEN we have a big earthquake.

I didn't know that either. Didn't get to see the show but hope to catch a rerun of it. The E almost burned down about 4 years ago. That whole side of the hotel had to be closed because of the damage, and I don't think that section ever opened back up. If John Bays had his way then the hotel would still be standing in its hazardous goodness along with an indoor waterpark, convention center, and casino there. The place was really starting to show its age though and was like walking right into the 70's.
