I am so fed up with Charter that I am just done with them. I am being serious so please reply courteously and don't try to push your religion down my throat. On occasion My wife and I like to stream a little adult entertainment to the TV, via websites or P2P. BTES terms of service says no pornographic material, is this just to keep the huge bandwidth hogs at bay, or are they extremely anal about it?

I imagine that they are referring to child pornographic materials. I dont see how a company can not allow you to download something that is legal. They can restrict the amount of data you download, but if they allow the size of video, I cant see how they would be able to restrict it either legally or practically.

Thats what I'm hoping. I hate to change my service just to get it cut off. But with Charter I am on day 4 of intermittent service during finals week. 250 a month for the last 10 years after 30,000 my stuff should work like clockwork. I am lucky if I can go a whole week without some kind of outage.

We had issue after issue with internet going out. Finally after a year of disruptive service they finally solved the problem that we'd been telling them was the issue from day one. Turns out some of their equipment outside on our line was faulty. As in squirrel damage and rain corrupting their equipment. We could see it when we looked at the line, but they kept insisting it was our router, our wireless, our lines inside the house, basically anything and everything that would make it our fault. We finally got someone out here who knew what they were doing, saw the problem and even then it took a while for them to repair it. In other words, I totally understand your frustration with them.

All I can say is keep after them, get someone more than a modem junky who only knows to restart everything and switch out equipment. Get someone up on your lines to check their equipment and than keep after them to ensure it gets fixed.
