I am going this year, for the first time. Would like to hear from people that have gone before on what to expect.

Knoxville Zoo - Events & Activities - Feast With The Beast

I've heard it was fun in previous years but haven't been myself. Hope you give us a report back Barking Spider.

I'm looking forward to it. My daughter sings in one of the bands playing, and its their first time playing there, so it new to them too.
What could be bad about all the food and drinks you could want?
I was just looking for a heads up on what to expect.

It was so much fun. Beside watching my daughter sing, it was a really fun time, and there was tons of food, and lots of drinks. I have to say that walking by the rhinos was, well smelling pretty rhino, but after all it is the zoo.
I will probably go next year even if my daughter's band isn't playing. Its for a great cause, and it was well worth the money.

Did you sample any craft beers that were really good? Hubby wants to know.

I love the rhinos! They had a couple of youngsters a few years back and they were hilarious.

I am going to keep this in mind for next year. We had so much going on in Knoxville today that it was tough to keep up.

Lazy Magnolia brewery had some good stuff. Smoky Mountain also had some good stuff.
O'Charleys had a fantastic salmon, grilled with a sauce on it.
Blue Coast Burrito had really good chicken tacos.
I had so many bites of this, and bites of that that I am going to have to not eat for a day or two.
Beans Creek Winery from Manchester had a really good red, but I was mostly hitting the beer places to sample stuff.
A bunch of margarita places, some really good, some not so much. There was one that is made with agave instead of high fructose corn syrup, and it was good (healthy too????).
I only got to hear two of the bands, since I spent most of the time listening to my daughter's. The other one was more of a walk than I was willing.
While the tickets are a little pricey, I felt it was worth every bit. I found out too late that if you buy them really early, you can save a lot. I missed the first cut off by a few days.

Great tips for next year.

I've had that salmon at O'Charley's and really liked it and I'm pretty picky about seafood. It was good enough to mention it to the manager.
