How do ya'll feel about those electronic billboards over the highways throughout the area? Anyone notice that the highway death stats from 2012 are a completely fabricated number that increments a bit every time we surpass it in 2013. It stated somewhere in the 860s, then they bumped it up to 870s, it's now over 900.

Maybe it's a little morbid game for someone at TDOT and they like fooling with the stats to make it like a competition .

They aren't lying. They go by the same date today vs 2012. So, each day it is adjusted, if applicable.

You're right. Either I never noticed the YTD wording on the signs or they leave it out sometimes.
