We are already in tn with an address and my husband has applied to various positions. No luck so far. It has already been 2 months since he started looking for work. Living with family right now. We can't move till he has a job as well. Applied to security, corrections, police officer, management. Which he has military and 5 years management experience and still nothing. Very upsetting. We really don't know what to do. We are in morristown. We have applied everywhere.

It sounds like you're already in Morristown? The job market there has been poor for years.

Expand your search to Knoxville and maybe the Tri-Cities.

My son-in-law used to work in a management position at a plant in Morristown. They had a lot of turnover because so many employees would fail the drug tests. There were only a handful or professional positions located in Morristown with his company. Most jobs were factory/warehouse work. I agree with expanding your search area. My SIL lived in Farragut and commuted an hour everyday to Morristown. You could easily do the reverse, living in Morristown and working somewhere closer to Knoxville.

He should apply to be a truck driver. The demand is through the roof and the pay can be $50-60-70k+ in many cases.

Some trucking companies are having to hire retirees due to lack of drivers.

100% agreed. There are trucking companies that will put a person through school and training if interested. TLD Logistics Services is one of them and they have a school in Morristown.

Agree with Serious Conversation. Knoxville is hiring, depending on his experience.
