$38K and Up? Sorry, that is a pipe dream for the most part in Knoxville. You will be hard pressed to find a job paying that coming from outside. If you want to go that route you probably will want to engage a recruiter. If you are willing to start at $10 hour you should come on up. Good luck.

I second SMG. I work with people who have 4-year degrees and even one with a masters and they make low to mid-30's. I don't know who is making all the money here but I know it's not me.

Yep, my mom has her Ed.S. and after ten years in her position is now making $38k, actually. I would imagine that even in higher positions most jobs in recruiting and HR would make around 28k and CSR would be starting more like 20-22k.

Drug Reps (pill peddlers) At least now they requite a degree to make $100,000 bribing medical offices with expensive lunches. Guess who pays for it all? That's right...the old, the sick, and the uninsured

But that's not what he mentioned for a potential job; the competition for drug rep is very fierce. Plus, you have to look like a GQ or NY model.

If you have or are looking for CSR/collections work, I would check 21st Mortgage -- a company owned by Clayton Homes. They can be reached through their corporate website, www.21stmortgage.com.

I was replying to the question of who is making high salaries in the area. Also venting my disgust for the drug companies.

They could easily be U.T. instructors. Full-time lecturers at U.T. who have PhDs start out in the low 30s, at least in certain departments.
