So I moved to Chattanooga Dec 06 from FL. It's beautiful here but the place I work at is nowhere near as busy as I was told it was goin to be so my pay has suffered. lI had to pick up a second job to just make ends meet. This is the total opposite reason I left FL.
Anyway I may have an opportunity at another place in Knoxville. We have no discussed pay. I am not sure what I need to make to support the family. I know I need more then I make now and I know I will not make what I made in FL.
What are some nice family oriented areas within 30 minutes of Knoxville? I have a 10 yr old and a 10 month old. Looking for good schools. Where he goes now there are fights every other day. Worse then the schools I went to in NY. Close to places where we can go fishing would be great. And affordable housing. Looking to rent a 3/2house.
Thank you everyone

Housing prices are higher in Knoxville than Chatt. Not by much, but a bit. Jobs are slightly better, in other words, you have a better shot at getting a job here. But the pay is the same.

I don't know if moving to Knoxville will be an improvement. I don't know.

I've lived here for over a year and I still haven't bought a house.
