Just came back from Turkey Creek and passed by TYS again. Almost everything has melted and is gone.

Its the only way to go from SWFL to Knox. I hope it stays around.

Well, as JMT predicted, they saw the snow in The Great Smoky Mountains as they flew over and they said it was spectacular!

It was a fabulous visit. It was so short, that we didn't do much except talk at a pace of five million miles a hour. And no, that was not just me. My MIL and SIL talk just as much. Well, almost as much. No one talks as much as me.

We did get over to Turkey Creek because my MIL was in dire need of a Best Buy and a restaurant. And I did give them the nickel tour through town and UT on the way back to the airport.

The staff at the airport are just wonderful and the flight went on without a hitch, but MIL wouldn't tell me how much the tickets were. Actually, I told her I didn't want to know. They had to be horrendous.

We plan to take our daughter down to visit Fort Myers and I will definitely fly Allegiant Air. I guess the idea is to plan well in advance. My MIL tried to get tickets through them but she couldn't get the tickets she needed and she urgently needed to see us.

Also, because they flew United/US Airways, there was only a one hour stopover in Charlotte on the way up, but there is a four hour wait in Charlotte on the way back.

Planning is a must with Allegiant, as most flights only operate certain days of the week, and only once on those days. However, if it works for you, using them is a great experience!
