Hello,

I'm looking to buy a house under 100K in Knoxville and keep finding homes I love in bad areas! haha Does anyone know anything about the Burlington area? I found a home there I love that's less than 5 minutes away from Chilhowee Park and the Knoxville Zoological Park.

I once owned a house south of Skyline that was surprisingly safe due to good neighbors. There are some cute houses in Burlington but it has a reputation for drugs & violence.

Have you looked into Parkridge & Park City north of Magnolia? There seems to be more of a concerted effort to gentrify those areas. I still wouldn't go walking in the evening without a big dog.

Some parts of Burlington would be acceptable and some not so much.
