Here in AZ we're getting a Republican woman, Jan Brewer. I've met her at a Republican women's function and she seems nice enough, knowledgeable enough & experienced enough. Who is NM getting???

Lieutenant Governor Diane D. Denish, Democrat..Very Nice and Professional.
She is from Hobbs!

New Mexico's First Woman Governor Ever!!!
According to Rumor.. she will choose another lady to take her place as Lieutenant, so two women will run NM...

and now she has placed herself or Richardson placed her to be elected easily in two years. I am not saying good or bad just stating a fact...Of course, right now it would be a cold day in hell before NM would elect a republican to anything, this is sad. I have to see any state run by just one party, no matter what party it is....

Give the Democrats the next two years to really foul things up, circa 1993-94 by enacting blanket socialism, and perhaps you might see a Republican governor, however, with the shift in demographics in the last 16 years, the backlash might not be as severe. The people who have re-located here really enjoy government into every economic aspect of their lives, I fear. Think handouts.

So I suppose all of the combat engineers (re)posted to WSMR along with their families are looking for hand-outs? That's a good reason to volunteer to put your life on the line, I guess.

71% of those you mentioned voted for McCain in the general election, Tigerlily. Clearly, my reference wasn't to our enlisted military personnel.
