Where is a good spot to sit in your car and watch the fireworks on the strip?

The back seat. Plenty of fireworks have been known to happen there.

There's a park on the west side of town, Summerlin somewhere...
It supposably has a great view of the strip and the fireworks.
I can't come up with the name now, any one?
I think there used to be concerts on the 4th of July there before, but I'm not sure of that either

If that's your thing. At the very least...it'll be a cheap date.

What happens in the back seat...stays in the back seat.

We watched from Ventano Italian Restaurant on Arroyo Grande and Paseo Verde last year, however, if you go there, get there very early, and park your car right up to the front of the gravel/brush line of the parking lot. Last year, people were so incredibly rude up there, they stood right in front of the car. A car next to us, the lady had back problems and could not get out of the car, thus missed a lot of the show because of the idiots standing in front of the parked car.

We watched the Fourth of July fireworks from the top level of parking garage at the Rampart Casino. You need to get out of your car to get the full effect, but it provides a nice view of the entire Strip and any places in North Las Vegas that have fireworks.

And you'll avoid a lot of Strip-related traffic.

On the East side, if you can get in at the new parking garage at the Hard Rock Hotel, it has a nice view of the Strip. Another parking garage where you can view the fireworks is over at Hughes Center. On the West side, Boca Park in Spring Valley has great views of the Strip skyline so you will be able to watch the fireworks show. You can view it at the park or from the undeveloped part of Boca Park which is a large tract of land on Durango.
