Went for brunch yesterday with three other people ($25ea). We were all underwhelmed. Maybe we were expecting too much, but we thought the selection left much to be desired, and the food quality was good, but nothing spectacular.

People seem to consider Bellagio and Wynn buffets to be the best in town, so I was expecting more. Granted, the only other two I've been to are Aria and Aliante Station, but I preferred both to Bellagio; Aria because it was similarly priced, food was the same quality, but there was much more selection, and Aliante Station because it was $7 with only a little less selection/quality, and therefore a much better value.

Am I missing something? Does brunch just suck for some reason?

i cannot eat $25 worth of food, unless it's steak or seafood.
either you choose a 'lesser' buffet or hit a traditional restaurant to get the best value.

thanks for the tip about Aliente. I'll check that out for the price.

Last time I ate at Bellagio buffet was in 2006, I think for lunch, but I remember having similar thoughts. My favorite buffet so far is the Rio, as I love the variety mostly, and also think everything is pretty good quality as well. Bellagio was definitely better quality than Rio, but did not have nearly as many options. I still have to try the Wynn and Cosmopolitan. I'll be there in 2 weeks!

The Carnival World buffet at the Rio also has a deal for locals - buy one, get one free buffets if you show proof of Nevada residence and a player's club card. I think it's good for all meals Monday through Friday and for Sunday dinner. At the regular price of $24.99 per person for a midweek dinner, I don't think it's an especially good deal. But at $24.99 for two people for the same meal with the discount, it's not bad at all.

Went to the Bellaigo Buffett for lunch today. Fish options are awesome! To pricey for my one plate and the deserets are unremarkable.

i agree 100% seafood selections are awesome, yet the desserts remind me of a station buffet..

The Cosmopolitan Buffet (the Wicked Spoon) is a completely different concept.. If you are one to eat lots and lots of food (just shovel it in per se).. it's not for you... The food is already portioned.. example the pasta is already in small individual bowls... of course, if you want 5 bowls, that's your option... The food was well above average imo... The thing that stood out for me were the desserts. Best at a buffet i have ever seen...
It is pricey though.. i believe we are at 27. for dinner but compared to other strip properties, thats in line.

Can't believe that you put Aliante buffet and Bellagio buffet in the same post.. There's no comparison.. not even close.. between the two....

Bellagio's Buffet is old news and the quality and selection dropped years ago... It can't be compared to Wynn's BUffet anymore.

Wicked Spoon at Cosmo. Best buffet I've been to, and considerably less expensive than Wynn or Bellagio.
