Thinking of buying a condo in the 89113 area. It is about 1036sf. Does anyone have any idea how much gas and electric will be a month?

What floor is it on? That can make a big difference. If it's a two story building and your condo is on the first floor, your utilities will be less. It depends on the energy efficiency of your building. It also depends upon how much discomfort you can stand. I 'd ballpark $200-250/month averaging out the year and you most likely will be under that figure.

I'm in a roughly 700sqf apartment and I have all electric. I've been running about $45 a month for quite a while. It goes up to about $75 in the summer. Hope that helps.

I second that what floor is it on. We were on the 2nd story of a condo for about 5 years in Green Valley and the Electric in the summer was pushing $200+ but in the winter was $40. Went to flat rate after a while and I think the average was $110-120 a month. Gas was never really high, maybe $20-25 normal months and $60-80 in one or two months of winter.

I have a 1300 square foot, first floor condo. Las year my average gas bill was $45. a month and average elelectric was $ 86. per month Peak electric was
$ 136. in August. This is keeping the A/C at 77 degrees during the summer. We don't like it freezing in the house, just comfortable.

in a 1100+/- sqft condo, have gas stove/hot h2o, on the 2nd floor, in east summerlin.

spring bills have been $30 gas/$45 electric. we tend to live small, open windows, run fans, wear warmer clothing instead of bumping the heat. we eat in / out about 50/50.

Does the direction of condo/house make a difference too? I thought East/West property would cost higher air-con bill in summer than North/South.

west and south windows = higher cost.. especially west i'm in a 3flr 2500sf home with a pool... last months electric bill 90. Lights are on 7pm-7am straight since my wife and i don't work the same shifts

Not only that, but top or bottom makes a difference, as well as exposure. My mother moved from a south facing, top unit, on the end corner to a west facing, bottom unit, in the middle. On the bottom her place constantly runs hot now, so she used much less gas all winter, and more AC in the summer. She thinks it's due to all of the other units running their heat, and the lack of exposure her walls get to the elements.
