Skip the Pros and watch the Cal game from Tight-Wad Hill (for free)--can take BART. Shuttle is cool to the airport, but that area around Hegenburger is pretty nasty. Area around Cal is much nicer.

I fly to SJC when I visit because its close. Oakland is still an hour from SJ and I hate the 880 corridor in the afternoons. But that does sound like a sweet deal! Cant wait for the Niners to have their new stadium in Santa Clara!

What about the hundreds of thousands people traveling in and through Oakland every day, and the millions of people visiting and exploring Oakland every year?

Look dude, it's ok if you don't like Oakland, and since it's up to you, you don't ever have to set foot in Oakland. Although I do find it funny, I also find it very fraudulent of you..

Have you ever been in Oakland?

I've also seen a few hotel shuttles dropping off and picking up people at the Stadium BART station.

that is an awful Motel 6. The Hilton is better, on the West side of 880--may not even be a Hilton. I think you are in Port of Oakland territory, W of 880--always been a lot safer--and if that hotel offered a shuttle to BART and the Airport, that would be pretty convenient.
