Don't really know all the laws, but aren't there copyright issues when using music in an advertising piece?

Yes, she probably should be using royalty free music instead of copyrighted songs. It will probably get pulled off of Youtube or audio blocked eventually if it gets picked up by their automated scans or reported. Shows more lack of planning by the Realtor.

A Realtor not playing by the rules? I'm shocked. Shocked!

YouTube Q&A: Can I use music I purchased in my video?
Quote:
the safest thing to do would be to use some of the music YouTube has gotten permission for use in their users' videos...

If you are really set in using a particular piece of music, go ahead and use it... but be prepared to have your video removed by YouTube if the owner of the copyright makes a complaint...

  1. Do not include the entire piece of music in the video... mix it up with other songs... this way, you are not giving away the music you purchased for free. If the viewers of your video like the music, they may go out and buy it for themselves...
  2. Give credit to the artist by displaying the complete song title and the artist's name... you can include it in the ending credits of the video or in the description of the video...
  3. Even better... become an affiliate of a music web site and add a link to the music or album... since you are helping the artist make money, this may make them consider your video to be a form of free advertising and will not ask YouTube to remove it.

There are ways to avoid it. All my videos have copyright material in them. They all have been up for about 5-6 years. No issues at all. Mostly because they do more good for the artist than anything.

I wouldn't bother to look at the house. And when we come to Las Vegas to do so (probably next year) we will skip on anything that resembles this.
These are townhouses. 3 units to a building. Each unit is different. One is 1128sf. The second one is 1330 sf, and the one in the video is 1558sf.
There's really nothing wrong with these places. All built between late 2003 and the end of 2004.

^^^ +1 ^^^

Heck, I was on the board of directors of a start-up that did 360 views back before the dot com bubble burst -- and even then the technology & result was better than this hack job.

Doesn't matter. It's not the units that have put me off, it's the video. I'd never know anything about them because that video is so bad I would assume so are the places she's trying to sell. Being artsy is great under the right circumstances and if it's done well. This is not done well.

The two larger plans having living areas split over 2 levels and have single a/c unit. This is very ineffective and very expensive for keeping the bedrooms cool in the summer without wasting tons of energy over cooling downstairs.
I don't see any good solution for this problem for those townhomes and all the similar floor plan townhomes DR Horton built from Aliante to Henderson over the last 10 years.
The smallest unit has the garage downstairs and the living space all upstairs on one level. This plus being smaller overall should make the summer electric bills much more reasonable.
The small unit only has parking for one vehicle though.

Just keep in mind that the person that made this video want to sell the product in the video for profit, hince she will have to pay royalties, if not... she is screwed if the owner of the music piece finds out.

I just hate when some people that have a video camera thinks their automatically a videographer. I can operate a ARRI 435 or the Alexia camera and it does not make me a cinematographer.
