I know Switch NAP quite well. I proposed their site as our backup site should our HQ gets blown off the map by tornadoes. Guess what we were down 5 days in April 27, 2011 with no power for a Billion dollar corporation to be out. My employer lost over $125 million during the 5 days before power was restored to the whole city due to tornadoes. What was the cost to subcontract out to Switch? It was a mere $500K for one year. Guess who was the smartest guy in the room in 2010 talking about natural disaster back up for IT?

Makes sense to me. This is just about the only area in the country with minimal natural disasters. Plus, I've heard all the online gambling is going to end up here too.

This could lead to jobs that pay a living wage.
