I know we have a lot of "food" threads but i'm specifically looking for an awesome American BBQ place. I have a bud from NY coming in who owns a BBQ joint and wants to check out some of the local flavor.

Thanks

Try Memphis BBQ on Warm Springs. Or Lucille's on Green Valley. Both are great.

Hog Heaven in Aliante has the best ribs ever. They also have the best potato salad, mac and cheese, baked beans etc. They are a take out place and also deliver.

Pork ribs and I am not sure about the sweet potatos and greens. I think they also have a web site.

Lucille's BBQ

Go on a Friday or Saturday evening and listen to live blues bands while enjoying some really great BBQ. It does get crowded, due to it's popularity, but worth the wait.

We usually hang out in the bar until a table comes available, eat in the bar and listen to the blues bands play. Yes it's crowded, lively, loud, good and FUN!!!

If you want a quieter setting then go to Memphis BBQ or wait for a table in the dining area at Lucille's. Personally I like the BBQ at Lucille's a little better, Memphis is pretty good, but I take Lucille's as my first choice over the two.
