Las Vegas is fortunate to be fairly unobstructed by natural ..uhhh ...obstructions. So they were mostly able to lay it out in a grid. Nice when driving, but boring to look at. Now they seem to think that creating new roads, as in Summerlin, that meander all over the place is more "homey" and esthetically pleasing, but IMHO they cause more accidents. I happen to like Rancho Road the way it is. Not much left around here to remind us of the way we were.

I've lived here for 14 years and Rancho still confuses me. Something about a street that crosses both north/south and east/west streets...
