Recently I had a breakfast burrito for about $3.99 and it was good. I forgot the name of the place but there has to others in Vegas. So if you know of any good cheap eats please feel free to post. I'm always looking for a good sandwich so if it's out the feel free to post.

I guess maybe a dollar limit should be $8-10. Is there a good cheap steak to be had? What about some wings? Beer specials can work too. What about a fish sandwich? I know some of you know about some hole in the wall place with good cheap eats so do tell.

This is one thing that Las Vegas does very well. I can whack a golf ball and hit an excellent, inexpensive ethnic food joint. Bahn-Mi, Menudo, Pho, Thai, chicken-fried steak. Easy to find great quality for less money than is likely under my couch cushion.

I have posted my list of favorite inexpensive places many times. Easy enough to search for that. Just search for Market 168 and you'll find it.

Yup, since I moved to Henderson, I have been trying to find the same thing. No luck I'm afraid. In fact it is funny, because my other house in Fl. is in a very upscale area where real estate prices and taxes are much higher, and we have places here that have great pizza as an example for a large for $6.99 on Mon & Tues.
We have a great seafood place that sells huge fish sandwiches with slaw for $6.99.

Can't find anything like that in Henderson. In fact I was looking for a good Jewish Deli type place to get a good corned beef sandwich on thick good rye bread, which can be had in FL. with side for $7.99. In Henderson it is $11.99. Cheapest good burrito place we found cost $9.00 in Henderson.

Don't want to steal OP thread. I know it would be helpful if he said what area he lived in, so some people who live in that vicinity could chime in with their finds.

Happy hours are your friend I'm in 89074 and love all of the cheap eats around here. GVR buffet isn't bad for $14.99 (we always have BOGO at least).. Their cafe, while more expensive than the other Station sites other than Red Rock, has $1.99 late night specials that will fill you up. Barley's has a decent pizza for cheap (sorry, Scoop, sauce, cheese, and meat on a crust made of dough), and their bar menu during happy hour is $6 (with $2 22 oz. beer that they brew on-site). Village Pub for late night is always my go-to when out and about after 2:00am. I prefer the one on Sunset across from Barley's, as I know the bartender, and my wife and I can go in, drink what we want, eat what we want, and get out for under $20. If you look around, there are some great happy hour and reverse happy hour specials.

Heck, most of the casinos and restaurants Downtown have the kind of deals the OP is looking for.

Tiffany's. Yes I know the location sucks. But you could be sitting in the same booth where the Rat Pack used to eat!

Thank you Raiderman. Been to both buffets, but was kinda hoping to find some inexpensive places for picking up something when I just don't want to cook. (which is too frequently I'm afraid) For sit down places, that's a different time and budget. Too bad all those markets with food courts like the one Scoop mentioned are so far. That type of place would be ideal to have close by.

For Happy Hour Specials, Kabuki, RA, Miller's Las Vegas Ale House, Brio Tuscan Grille and Yardhouse can't be beat for price, quality, serving and variety. MADE LV American Tavern at Tivoli Village Happy Hour food is also decent, same owners as Honey Salt in Peccole Ranch.

Santa Rosa Taco Shop, 23 E Basic Rd, across from the Henderson jail (detention center). Two words - fish tacos.

Fausto's Mexican Grill 3, 595 College Dr Henderson. I like the bean tostada (< $5.00 for two).
