Oh there are probably a lot that would love to move there but once you enter Nevada you have to convince yourself that this is utopia and CA is the most god awful place on earth.

lVOC: no Coronado, LaJolla, Encinitas? What about north say San Clemente, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Newport? About the farthest north I like is Belmont Shores.

It is the climate I disliked. True throughout the coastal plane from SD all the way up. The weather is clammy and cool and hazy from early spring past mid summer. Very nice in the late summer and fall but otherwise too cool and hazy.

Inland 10 or 15 miles is much better.

True most days it clears up later in the day but you definitely get that marine layer locked in.

Which actually lasts most years until August. September on is lovely...but until then the gloom sits there. Closer to the water the worse it is. Only sensible thing isd stay in Catalina until September. Actually use to do that.
