I would have thought[from previous ownership] that The Eagles Lair would have been appropriate.

Didn't the old owner throw birthday bashes for Hitler or some such thing?

The guy who wrote about the people that live underground in the drainage canals questioned who got paid off to allow their parking lot in a natural flood channel.

All I can say is they must have had a contest to see who could come up with the most vanilla, blahest name and The Quad won. That is actually worse than The D. Seriously, what are they thinking? Just another hotel stripped of any character and turned into something NOT themed and boring.

Knowing the Imperial Palace as I do, is it short for Quadriplegic?

Agree with this.. sounds more like a college dormitory than a Las Vegas hotel.

I think the name is lame too. What else can you expect from Harrah's (now Ceasars Entertainment)?

When we had people like Bennet, Binion, etc. competing with each other we had innovation. Now we have MGM and Harrah's who have made everything corporate, with a couple of old hold outs like Wynn and Adelson.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but ....

On a positive note, they used to have a fun low limit poker room.

Oh, well.

I thought this was old news. Apparently the Quad beat out 3535 as a name. I think it is going to be more of a fun college type of place. I know "younger people things" like beer pong are being considered as events to do. They have started surveying people (imagine, customer opinion) on what types of things appeal to them and they'll make their decisions accordingly.
