The Linq is fully funded so that is definitely going to happen.

My feeling is, why have TWO, why isn't ONE good enough?
We have the Linq, I never understood why someone would say "HEY WE NEED TWO OF EM"

That's a major reason I have serious doubts of this one ever being completed, or it surviving for very long if it does ever open. I just can't see the demand for 2 so close together, and the Linq has the better location being right in the heart of the strip instead of more down on one end. The Linq also has an owner that has multiple major casino properties nearby to help promote it.

Sadly, Howard's wheel further down on the Strip, the one that is the topic of this thread, was the first one planned and announced. That was over 2 yrs. ago. Then Caesar's came along with their new project and added a ferris wheel. With deep pockets and a better location, it's pretty obvious what the future will be for the first one. Possibly it would have been nice if the planning commission did not approve the second one?

Skyview will have a better, less obstructed view though....and with a 50,000sqft TV on each side they'll make a killing just on "Girls To Your Room" ads!

I'd paint giant numbers on each passenger car, attach a pointer, and market it as the world's largest Big 6 Wheel.

I thought Linq is/was planned to be 550' and Skyvue only 500'... has something changed or is my CRS disease flaring up again? Maybe I have it backwards.

Oops. My bad. I got them confused.

Since that's the case, the High Roller at the Linq is hands down the winner of the "big wheel" competittion.
