My list:

Settebello, the two Robuchon joints, Michael Mina, Bouchon, Picasso, Guy Savoy, Andre's, Carnevino.

Settebello gets extremely high marks because it's WAY cheaper than airfare to Naples. Otherwise, my list falls within the normal boundaries of "whats the best in Las Vegas."

PS: Scoop You love Roberto's - so does that knock a few points off your Micheline rating?

My wife and I are coming due for a date night. We will probably pick something off of this list. She is more about the atmosphere, I am more about a full stomach.

If it's about the atmosphere, Marche Baucchus is great (as long as you like French food and enjoy wine).

I would also like to try the places on Scoop's list. My youngest used to work at Bouchon, so I've sampled some of their offerings , but I've never been to any of the other places mentioned.

Did your son bring home a lot of "left overs"?

Baked goods, mostly. Sometimes seafood or soup. The kid shucked a lot of oysters being the low man on the totem pole.

Everything I tried was very good.

Before the kid went back to NY for school, he took his friends to Bouchon. They raved.

I don't love Sheldon Adelson, but he's got some damn fine restaurants in his properties.

I don't think a Roberto's will ever go out of business in this town.

I have had some really disappointing meals at Lotus of Siam.

I will give them credit. They have some of the most effective online and social media advertising.
