They have the retro stuff on one side of the bar and gamer pits for X-Box and such on the other. They definitely had Pac-Man. I think they had Centipede as well, but I don't remember ( They pour the drinks pretty strong in there) Lots of others as well.

Uh, have you noticed the high end night clubs around town?

And, for the most part, those 20-something hard-bodies eventually turn into 60-something blue-hairs ladies who will still love Vegas.

It was a $500 machine, and he was playing the maximum five coins, so $2,500 per spin. Holding two cards to a royal and drawing the other three is pretty amazing by itself; doing it on a $500 machine is beyond amazing.

Yup, I've noticed the high end night clubs, what of them?

Even when I turn 60, I will not magically become interested in slots. A life of playing loads of artistically designed games makes me expect a lot from my entertainment.

The reason it's crazy is that the theory collapses like a house of cards when logic is applied. So your brother has a "coach" who has mastered the elusive art of gaining advantage over a casino due to his mastery of controlling dice...and as a result decides not to make himself rich the easy way by fleecing the casino with his incredible skill, but to sell that information at an hourly rate to others?

I have a machine that will tell me next week's winning lottery numbers today. I'll sell the machine to you for $100 dollars. Make sense?

^exactly... thinking you can influence a random event is pure folly.

The best you can do is to predict with certainty the probability of an event happening. hence, betting patterns that reflect the highest probability of occurrence or a sub set that exploits an advantage based on odds given.

The thing that got me was looking at my win/loss statement. I lost more than I won and had no clue. Something else that made me think was as many times as I have walked through some casino's I have yet to see anyone or hear any hit anything big. What's up with that?

Bottomline line is there may be a few wins but it looks like in the lont term the house wins.. So for me it's do the Big progressives as a lotto when passing but bring me to the buffet.. More sausage please...

So you are saying you and everyone else in the universe are suckers??? Cause every time you wake up you are betting you live thru the day.....

Are you familiar with this technique to any great degree? I know a little bit about it, but not much. My brother plays with a group and the coach as well. I've never been interested enough to really press him for information, but I am pretty sure he wins more than he loses. I'll ask him next time he is here. I know when he first started, he would have some significant losses as well as wins, but now it seems he has, more consistently, some pretty good runs. It's not like winning the lottery - not even close. It is just tipping the odds back in favor of the player and like I said, players that use this technique are being kicked out of some of the casinos so they have to be a bit stealthy.

ETA: After thinking about it, I remember a little more. I think it has to do with setting the dice in a certain position, holding them at a specific height, throwing them at a certain angle, with a certain amount of force, and flicking your wrist just right. It is very, very difficult to master and takes hours and hours of practice. My brother owns a craps table that he practices on. He also has a large bankroll because you have to be able to absorb losses. Like I said, it not easy nor always guaranteed; just a slight tip in the odds.
