Last week a census worker came by my house one night and I answered the questions to her survey. Then when I came home Sunday she was sitting out in her car in front of my house and came and rang the doorbell, I thought that was odd her waiting for me so I didn't answer the door. When I came home from work Monday she was once again in her car in front of my house. I pulled into my garage and closed the door, after the door closed she was banging on the garage door and when I didn't respond to that she went to my front door and began to ring the bell. Instead of telling her off I ignored it. Then I left the house for a couple hours and when I returned home and pulled into my garage she comes walking up my driveway, I closed the door. Later I saw she left an envelope with her name and number on it asking to call to fill out a survey when I just answered her questions the week prior. Then Tuesday before coming home I check to see if she was at my house again cause if she was I'd call the cops, but she wasn't. Then shortly after entering my house there's another census worker ringing my bell, I ignore it again cause I was about to leave and didn't want to waste my time with them. Today it's Wednesday and no word from them thankfully. But kinda wish they did come back so I could tell them off. I did email the regional office for the census on Monday but did not hear back from them yet. And when I called them today they were already closed for the day.

If they come back simply say you already filled out the form.

I was going to say the same thing. I don't think this is a census year.

Not a census worker. Sounds more like those scammy survey people. Do not let them in your home. Tell them to go away. And if they do not stop bothering you, call the cops.

Agreed, there is no census going on right now, no matter what this person told you.

I find this story to be really strange. As others have pointed out this is not a census year. Also, these so called census workers seem to be spending a lot of time at the OP's house.

OP You need to call the police and inform them of what happened, especially since the questions that were asked seemed to you to be appropriate. My experience is those questions are pretty invasive and just the things potential thieves would like to know.
