Hey folks.
For all of us thinking of relocating to Las Vegas, I was sent a link to a GREAT crime mapping site.

CrimeMapping.com - National Map

Enjoy!

It appears the west of decatur and north of Carey there is NO CRiME AT ALL!

All the way over to the 15...

I suspect this is some municipality that simply does not report?
Seem impossible.

Any input?

Not accurate, unfortunately. I looked at my zip code, and my Alert ID shows much more crime. There's an apartment complex that seems to get burglarized every few weeks, and crimemapping doesn't show it.

Standard problem with these sites. This one reports only Metro. There are two others for North Las Vegas and Henderson. Unfortunately a different format.

These are useful to see what goes on in a given neighborhood. Not very good though for comparing large areas.

A realtor who will tell you about the better neighborhoods. Although, if you search this forum you should be able to find an answer to just about every question you may have. And, of course, nothing beats being here and driving through the neighborhoods to see if it is a place you would want to live.
