Our calculating, let's-play-it-safe Governor is not going to do anything to jeopardize his opportunity to replace Reid, in the Senate, 2 years hence. Any decision he makes, IMO, rests upon that. And? IMO, he has his eyes on the Presidency some day, as well!

Bringing the gun companies to Nevada? What kind of reflection on him would that make!

Yeah I mean we stole the rodeo from OKC in the first place. If they go somewhere else we will just think of another idea. NFR is nice, I personally will miss them.

There are Rodeos all over Texas and the rest of the nation I am sure.

I think there is just something about Vegas that has that lure.

This is an old Vegas act by the way, let a company build up a name, once it gets going kick them out and open the same venue under a new name and keep all the money.

That's what we are doing.

Good riddance. We should not want to host ritualized animal abuse, regardless of how much money is spent on the disgusting display.

I see this thread title and all I can think of is this:

New Order - Blue Monday '88 (Official Video) High Quality - YouTube

As for your post, business is business. It's a free market - if Las Vegas wants to keep the event, they'll pay for it. I personally don't care one way or the other, and while it brings a lot of people into town, I don't think it would be "catastrophic" to lose it.
