Her family is her, my son-in-law and my granddaughter. Due to his job it would only be for 2-3 days.

I've looked at some casino's online but feel I'll get better advice here.

TIA

I stay every year for a week in Vegas on business. While I don't take any kids, I have talked to people that like Mandalay Bay for kids, and I have stayed at the Mirage and with the volcano, secret garden and dolphins, kids could have fun. There is also the Cirque du Soleil show there and across at the Treasure Island, though as I recall kids under 5 are not allowed at the Beatles show. MGM Grand is another. Check the websites for the fun things for kids.

I tried to stay in places north of Caesars when our kids were tweens. As well as Harrahs, IP (Quad), we stayed at Circus Circus as there were so many things for them to do. I would probably recommend Treasure Island (Wynn's if that is an option but it's expensive) as they are not subject to the gangs (or what look like gang young people that stand the same place for 3 hours or more) on the corner down south on the Strip. Also south of the Flamingo are quite a few peddlers and homeless begging on overhead bridges and walkways etc. The porn slappers and the naked girl cards that we didn't want to subject our kids to during those years are now being slapped everywhere south of the Venetian now. The Circus Circus pools are great for kids and now there is the new Wet and Wild water park just a short drive away if they have a rental car. Wynn's is my favorite get away and the pool area is awesome. The afternoon Mac King magic/comedy show at Harrahs is highly recommended and there is kid participation involved. I've seen this show at least 7 times and I always take visiting friends and families there. At the MGM is the Rainforest Cafe with pretty good and reasonable meals. M & M's is down the Strip and on that walk there are many characters all the dressed up but they are seeking $'s for having your picture taken with them. There are a lot of cartoon and tv characters but some of them are very risque...especially down on Fremont St downtown. Hope some of this help.

Further to my previous message I saw on a page that Wynn's main pool is great for families, they have family friendly restaurants, Gelato's, and the following:
Wynn Las Vegas light show. This spectacular presentation features 4,000 LED lights on the Lake of Dreams and runs every half hour from 6:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. — perhaps well past their bed time, but not yours.
Concierge nanny. This may not be the best amenity for your kids specifically, but it will be the best one for you when you’re traveling with your children in Vegas. If you want a night out sans kiddos for a few Wynn signature cocktails, take advantage of this valuable service during your relaxing family vacation.
OMG. I'm starting to sound like I'm spamming but it's really just my recommendation.

Doesn't matter really. Find your best deal and do that.

That said, kids really do love Mandalay Bay. Heck, I love Mandalay Bay.

Are you sure your family would enjoy visiting Las Vegas? Have you ever heard them voice interest in the place? Make sure first. Especially with your granddaughter, maybe she would be too young to enjoy Vegas, and would love Disneyland instead. It's in Anaheim, but close enough for adults to visit Hollywood. It would be great for a short trip.

Circus Circus has carnival games (2nd level) and free circus acts. Loved going there when I was young.

Mandalay Bay has shark reef, which was kinda cool.
