Hopefully that works out. Basing the majority of a city's economy on one industry is pretty bad. I lived through Houston in the 80's when the oil market fell out and saw whole neighborhoods abandoned. You couldn't sell a house for a few years. Unemployment was crazy, and... well it looked like the 2008 housing bust in Vegas. Only it took us a good 8-10 years to recover. It's why no neighborhoods have that 80's architecture in Houston.

Anyways, learn from other cities' mistakes, Las Vegas!

Sports Tourism should be considered.

Kind of difficult if you can't attract a major league sports team. Then again, this is because the leagues disapprove of Vegas allowing sports betting. But I bet that sport betting generates more economic activity and tax revenue than major league sport teams would.
