A friend of mine just posted this on FB. Sad story. I checked all my comps and nothing is available for tonight. Anyone have the juice to pull this off? She's not asking for a room for herself, she is willing to stay in her car. Just for the bride and groom. They are on their way to Vegas now.

OT: I need emergency very fast help! Those of you who don't know me feel free to ignore me. My friends Rebecca and William just had to cancel their wedding a couple days ago. He's getting deployed.
I'm so sad for them. They asked if I could drive them to Vegas today and I've spent a couple days arranging MY family so I could drive and it didn't occur to me that there may be Vegas people who know concierge's or something so they can at least have a hotel tonight. (Their plan was to have me drive them there and back.)
I don't need a place for me. I don't mind kicking it in my car. And frankly I would have called every hotel on the strip AND the new in Vegas to attempt to get them a place for the night if it had occurred to me.
Money won't help. I have a paypal account and no paypal card. Can any of you make magic happen or make some phone calls for me. I have to leave home here in an hour to pick them up and then take the long drive to Las Vegas. Otherwise I'd be beating down doors. I just want this young couple to at least have some semblance of a romantic wedding night if we can make it happen. They are broke (Marine Corp) and I am broke or I would pay myself.
I just think Lance Corporal William Youst and His bride Rebecca deserve to have a little time on their wedding day. So if any of you know manager's on the strip or anything who could do something for them? I'd be grateful. BTW: This is the dress she was so excited her Grandma was able to get for her. It's not done yet. So they are hoping to be able to wear it next year and have some kind of ceremony when he comes back.

Oh, if anyone can come up with something reasonable...I will pay for them. I don't even know them personally but it's a RAOK kind of thing. Everyone deserves a wedding night.

Have they bothered to look for a room online? There has to be something available, even if it's not on the Strip.

I checked Main Street, Sam's Town, Fremont, Gold Coast, Suncoast, California, Orleans, and East Side Cannery. Someone else checked Marriott, Renaissance, and Cosmo. No luck so far.

Nothing at MGM either.

I just checked @ trivago and the cheaper rooms in the non-dive places (Excalibur, Westin, Embassy Suites, etc) are going for around $150-160. I'd contribute a couple of Jacksons so that a Marine could have a decent room on his wedding night.

El Cortez is listed at $107. I stayed there about 8-9 years ago and the room was surprisingly nice for the price. It was small, but it was fresh and clean and it had all the expected amenities.
