My estimated bill for mid June to mid July is $163, $82 16 days into the cycle. My lights are almost all CFL or LED and I set the thermostat at 76-78. I have been working from home the last couple of months, so I am using more energy. I have a huge power hog gaming PC with dual 27" monitors running 12 hours a day. That adds a pretty good chunk to the bill. Still, if my power bill never goes over $200 I will be pretty satisfied. I have paid nearly that much for power in apartments in MN and ND that were much smaller.
I normally only think of A/C as a big power draw.. but then realized that I'm running a massive PC with dual 32" monitors 10-15 hrs a day. I am downsizing to a laptop with one monitor next week, so that might help a bit.

I am on the flat rate plan with NVEnergy where they average out your bills for the previous year or 2 and then your monthly rate is fixed for the next year based on those previous year's averages. I pay $85/month (every single month) until my next annual averaging cycle comes up where that amount will either go up or down based on how much energy I used this year versus the prior year(s).

My home is not particularly energy efficient with regards to upgrades I have made. No solar screens or extra insulation blown into the attic. Built in 2007 and just under 2000sqft though. 3 west facing windows of which only 1 really gets much sun thanks to a nice high wall that separates me and my neighbor. 2 south facing windows but one is shaded by the overhang in the patio and the other in the master bedroom has blackout blinds that do a decent job of keeping the room cooler than it would be otherwise.

I only have 1 incandescent light bulb on the property which is my oven lamp. All other lights are either CFL or LED. That is about it though for the energy improvements that I have made on my own.

1800 sq ft, single story with pool. Someone at home all day using electric, lots of computer and t.v. usage. Keep it a steady 68 degrees ( I like it super cold year round). 12 month average bill $158.
