I'll be there for the opening. I'm already hearing good things from my friends who've been allowed early looks - including food and entertainment. The big news is Iggy Azalea will be there for the opening. In all, 3,500 celebs have been invited.

I'm surprised if they are hoping to be a mecca for locals, why has their grand opening offered nothing for us? Last night was a private opening party for 3,500 with fireworks, beginning at midnight. Somehow I didn't get my invitation with monthly incentives. Did anyone else?

Anyway saw the fireworks and drove by last night, too many people trying to check it out. Great improvement on the former Sahara Hotel. SLS Las Vegas will definitely bring in new and more visitors to Clark County.

I think it will struggle until that end of the strip gets re-developed, but it could do really well in about 4-5 years. I think starting out catering to locals is a good idea because that's who they will need to keep them afloat until that area gets appealing to tourists.
