We have a great seafood place that sells huge fish sandwiches with slaw for $6.99.

Can't find anything like that in Henderson. In fact I was looking for a good Jewish Deli type place to get a good corned beef sandwich on thick good rye bread, which can be had in FL. with side for $7.99. In Henderson it is $11.99. Cheapest good burrito place we found cost $9.00 in Henderson.

Don't want to steal OP thread. I know it would be helpful if he said what area he lived in, so some people who live in that vicinity could chime in with their finds.

That type of place would be ideal to have close by.
Pick up an order of wings and a half gallon of beer at Barley's to go, and it'll cost you $11. For "food court" food, we go to Capriotti's at GVR for a great sandwich!

I guess maybe a dollar limit should be $8-10. Is there a good cheap steak to be had? What about some wings? Beer specials can work too. What about a fish sandwich? I know some of you know about some hole in the wall place with good cheap eats so do tell.
Robertos Taco Shop has Wednesday specials of 99¢ chicken tacos (normally $2.99)....
Stations casions like Green Valley ranch and Sunset Station has lunch and dinner buffets at around less than $10 bucks.

Village Pub as someone else indicated does have good happy hour menus...I believe the hours are 3p-6pm and 11pm-3am......good specials, but then again South Point cafe has good eats starting at 12am I believe. Cheap!

Boulder strip. Most all of the casinos do steak and egg breakfasts quite often. I've got them for as low as 3$. I ended up eating 3 after a 24hr run on the poker table. xD Sam's Town, Boulder Station, and the Cannery. Longhorse does some good breakfasts too.

Boulder Station buffet is better than Sunset Station.

Best Sushi in Vegas - Momo Sushi on Stephanie between Sunset and Warm Springs in front of Burlington Coat Factory. Cris Angel did a skit there one time.

There's an Indian restaurant that's really good and can make most things on the menu vegan if you like on Trop. I can't remember exactly where but it's in a little strip mall on the north side of Trop somewhere between 515/Paradise.

I second that. Weiss is something I literally haven't seen before here. The food is fantastic, fresh and servings are huge. It's family owned and even the owners came and introduced themselves to me and thanked me for coming when the place was crowded and busy. It's at the corner of sunset and green valley parkway in the same shopping plaza as trader joes and the post office.

I'm still looking for good old fashioned American food like open face hot roast beef sandwich with gravy and mashed potatoes, meatloaf with mashed potatoes, chicken and biscuits shepherds pie, etc etc. I could go on and on. These seem to be hard to find these days anywhere.

I was going through another similar thread on here and almost all the restaurants mentioned are now closed like Shari's Diner as an example. Very sad.

Last time I was at Black Bear it was not Black Bear but rather Keuken Dutch, a Dutch restaurant. Too bad locals did not appreciate a different restaurant back then. This was around a couple of decades ago, hahaha! Now the place is just a regular diner.
