I too would go with Uber.

However don't count those chickens until the legislature closes down. I hear it may get one more tussle.

All the bad stuff always goes down in the last 12 hours...

Love to see it happen, but until we are reassured in practice that outer areas of Vegas will get service, the bus is King!

There is a thing called gridlock that occurs when the streets get so loaded that the intersections block up and no one can move. So enough Uber aqnd Lyft and gridlock.

How to fix? Well if you run Uber and Lyft into the taxi lines you defeat the algorithm. They can no longer go to the client calling them. If you don't then those vehicles are waiting in traffic and bring on the gridlock.

How about peak hours at the airport? Ever try to drop off during the peak? Now add 25% more cars...

Going to be fun.
Are you kidding me? Uber can't stage in taxi lines without a medallion!!! They can pick up if you contact them through the app. with a location. A few thousand??? What are you talking about? They can't pick up rides waiting at the door like cabs. They at best could park their car and hustle up rides like limo and town car drivers drivers do.

That was never happening anyway. Nobody rides the monorail.

Yeah just as I thought much ado about nothing. Bill requires the driver to carry 1.5 million commercial bodily injury in addition to their regular insurance. Throw in the lease on their vehicle and all this is going to do is make for a great repo business in Vegas. You might want to google what these guy's make in other cities and what they say, it's not good. Their will be no shortage of idiots who try it until they wake up to find their car gone one morning.

lol for real... The tow truck companies of Vegas are poppin bottles with this news.

Uber will not be picking up at the airport.
Uber will not be allowed in the designed cab pickup lines at properties... And even if they did, a large portion of those lines go through tunnels where there is no cell phone reception... Aka no uber app.
Uber (as well as cabbies) get ticketed heavily for coming to a stop on the strip to pick up / drop people off.

Not sure why people are saying "uber is successful in other cities" when our public transportation demand is one of (if not, the most) unique market in the world.

Good luck Uber drivers... They will need it.

Why would an Uber driver need to wait in a designated cabbie line? For all it matters, they could wait in ANY parking garage until they get a call/text. Also, why would someone want to be dropped off directly on the strip? It's much easier to get dropped off directly at the main entrance of any casino, which are all off the strip.
