Thanks. But I would not be driving 2+ hours just to see that hotel.

Who drives 30mph on the I-15? Baker is only an hour away, but yes, no one will stay overnight in Baker. Not even L.A. tourists.

OK. That just proves I have no idea where Baker is. Nor do I care anything about that jerky guy.

Kinda dig the idea of a futuristic hotel... Just not in baker... And with WAY more funding than this dude will ever get.

Probably an attempt to tie-in with The Big Empty, which was filmed in and around Baker. It was a refreshing and interesting take on the alien sci-fi genre.

Stupid idea. Starbucks didn't make it, a motel won't either.

The only way this works is if you're coming down the hill towards Baker heading home and see that the pass is bumper to bumper for 16 miles -- all the way to the top of the hill, and presumably all the way to Primm.

Then, stopping for the night instead of spending it in a traffic jam makes sense. Otherwise? Not so much. I've had a long lunch at the Mad Greek for the same reason -- sit in the car or sit in a restaurant. Either way, a lot of sitting is in the future.

Default Ugh...

I love UFO/Area-51/Roswell type stuff, but $300 bucks a night to stay in Baker? I'd rather drive a bit longer into Cali and stay at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo.

Are there any cheesy themed hotels left in Vegas? I'm talking the type where each room is unique and themed.
