Can someone tell me where the best LIMIT $3-$6 games are as far as the best rake is concerned. I keep seeing a 10% rake and $4 max rake per pot as the norm. As any avid poker player knows... thats a high rake!! I know it was a long time ago but I remember when it was a $2 rake or 5%. I would appreciate any advice on where to play Thanks!!

Those days are gone. There is not a single casino that offers 5%, they are all 10%. However, they don't all have a $4 max rake, some have $3, but some of those have a $1 jackpot drop @ $10. Here's what I know of the ones that have a $3 max drop (you also didn't specify what type of poker, so I put that in there).

1. Aliante - 10%/$3 max - 3/6 Omaha or 2/4 Hold'em
2. Eastside Cannery - 10%/$3 max - 3/6 Hold'em - $1 jackpot drop @ $10
3. Plaza - 10%/$3 max - 2/4 Hold'em
4. Sam's Town - 10%/$3 max - 3/6 Omaha
5. Skyline - 10%/$3 max - 2/4 Hold'em
6. Suncoast - 10%/3 max - 2/4 Hold'em - $1 jackpot drop @ $10
7. Orleans - 10%/3 max - 2/4 Hold'em - $2 jackpot drop @ $10/$40

$3/$6 doesn't seem to be as popular as $2/$4.. here are some $3/$9 games out there, as well as some $2/$5 if that helps.

Have fun!

Limit isn't nearly as popular as it once was. Now it's mostly low limit no limt.

There is no 3/6 limit that is going to be profitable after rake. At least none that I have seen. You should learn to play NL. 1/2 NL is a fish tank.

You should probably point out that Aliante uses the PokerPro machines.

I was recently at Santa Fe Station and it has 3/6 limit Hold'em and Omaha. I believe the rake is 10%/$4, though.

Plaza also uses those machines. I don't think you'll find LHE at either.

Orleans and Suncoast have 10% up to $3 and offer regular fixed limit games. Both take a jackpot drop.
