I am seeking some possibly quick advice. My sister lives in Vegas, but she's barely been there for a year and doesn't get out that much. She was saying that it takes 2 days to explore the strip. There is North Strip and South strip, right? Would you say it takes 2 days to fully get a good look at it all (or the main points of interest)? How many hours would you devote to seeing the strip (I don't mean stopping at places and going inside, but just seeing the strip itself and taking the pictures you'd like to take)?

If you just want to walk up one side, and walk back the other side, yeah, 2 days.
If you want to actually explore what the casinos have inside, you'll need a week.

Depends what you're doing! Just walking...a couple of hours. Stopping in casino/hotels and looking around...much longer! It can take a good 30 mins. just to go between hotels..they are farther apart than they appear! From Mandalay Bay to the Stratosphere is about 7 miles or so....

Because the hotels are next to each other, the apparent distances between them are deceptive. These properties are huge, and it is invariably farther than it looks once you set out on foot.

Three Grand kids 13,16,18 and 50 year old Father did it in 5 hours or so without sweat. Got ride to Mandalay and came all the way to the Stratosphere. 100 degree plus day. And they enjoyed it.

Hit resorts on both sides. Used the casino AC to stay refreshed.

What he said.

If all you want to do is look, then just drive slowly up and back.

If you want to walk, it is four miles each way = total of 8. Troops march at 4 mph. You figure it out.

You can rent motorized wheelchairs at most casinos. You don't have to be handicapped.
