I read a lot of posts from people relocating to the Las Vegas area from all over except the Carolinas. Are there any people who have relocated to the LV area from the Carolinas? How was your move? Did it work out for you? Was it change for the better? Please weigh in.

NC to NV
I feel exactly the same as EA! I lived in Statesville, NC for 17 years. I love it here and hope I never have to live in NC again except to visit. It's SO HUMID there...

Oh wow, somebody else lived in Mayberry aka Statesville. That was the first city I moved to leaving DC, talk about change of pace! Had to move down to Charlotte to get my sanity back. Didn't mind living in Charlotte or Raleigh-Durham especially going to Bulls and Hurricanes games.

Lived in Sumter SC for almost two years. Retired from the Air Force last year and quickly moved to Vegas. South Carolina humidity, bugs and crazy blue laws were for the birds.

Wow...All the comments solidify my feelings about back home...I too moved from Charlotte after 30+ years there. Best move of my life...NC is supposed to be the "go-to" state now, but I beg to differ.

I moved from LV to Goldsboro & Sanford (also Sumter, SC); then back here to Vegas..... Loved the green and the golf. That was about it... glad to be back in Vegas.
