Hi all.
I haven't lived in the States for over 10 years and have no idea which internet package to choose.
I download a few movies and tv shows per month. I need good speed but I don't know what is considered good there. I have 30mb where I am now.
I need a wireless modem and don't mind if I have to buy one up front.
I will also need a phone cell phone number and be able to access the internet from my phone.
Any recommendations will be appreciated.
Mr. J

Cell phone service varies throughout the valley but AT&T or Verizon (or an MVNO) are usually the strongest providers.
Cox seems to get recommended more than others for internet.

Do you generally get a choice for wired service in metro-Vegas. I thought you either had Cox or Century. Do you at least have a choice between the two?

AT&T bought Cricket so all new Cricket customers go on the AT&T network. Prices are generally much better then AT&T. I went from $50/month 4MB Data and no txt plan to $30/month 4MB and unlimited txts.

Yep, that's where we are headed once our contract is up. We will go from $130 to $70 for unlimited text and calls with 2.5G data (two phones)

$70 a month for a mobile to connect to the internet?? Did I read that wrong?
That's way too much! I pay 11 or 12 a month now. $25 a month for unlimited cable tv and internet in home. Granted things are cheaper in Thailand, but 5Xs higher?? Robbery.
