You might want to look at the Las Vegas Country Club. No joke. A friend of mine lives in a condo in there. It's very safe, and since it is an older area, it is greener. It's behind the SLS.

To be closer, Sun City Aliante would probably not work for you. Your better bets would be Sun City Siena or Sun City Summerlin. Both of those would work because you can do a straight shot down to Turnberry from either place much easier. And you would probably like them better too.
