So the Ceasars properties are following suit?

The last few times we've been up, we've been parking at The Linq/High Roller. It's a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the strip, but out of principle I'll do that before ever paying to self-park. It's a shame, because we parked at Bellagio for years before this all went down.

The one thing I haven't heard is how this is affecting MGM's business. How is ti affecting casino play, revenue from F&B, etc.

There has been no announcement that Caesars is doing it at this time. I assume this a "wait and see" for other strip properties to see how MGM does with it.

I was at Mandalay Bay last night and the parking thing was crazy! OK it was Saturday night and it was busy but I would estimate the parking 'experience' added 30 minutes to my trip! I always thought they wanted me to gamble and they didn't want me to be in lines at parking garages! To get out, you are supposed to pay or scan your local ID. The lines were huge, coming and going!

And they do not validate! At the least I thought I would get some kind of get out of jail free card considering I spent $50 for 2 well drinks plus tip. Their prices are off the wall! There is a real reason why I had not been to the Strip for 2 years! I had to laugh at all the women in their 'club' outfits wearing footies and carrying their shoes. And I am sure this dates me, but I remember dressing up and looking classy to go out to the clubs. A huge number of these women were very attractive but they were dressed like hookers. Seriously, they would have been right at home cruising Boulder Highway or Decatur and Flamingo!

I thought as a local you could park for free by running your license through the payment terminal (or something like that.)

Yes, you can scan your license. But it doesn't work well and it's not fast.

I don't understand; you say this as if it were a bad thing.
